Nursing Administrative Supervisor
General Description Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Nursing, functions as administrative person in charge of hospital shift operations on evenings, nights, days of reduced operation and weekends. The role of this position is to: assure excellence in patient care; serve as coordinator of staffing; and as a resource to all departments. The administrative supervisor communicates with the Administrative On-Call for any situation unable to be resolved through standard policy or procedure and as required for response to emergency preparedness codes. Key Responsibilities - Works closely with the Department Leaders and staff for patient care and administrative policies and procedures, and provides input for their yearly evaluation. - Coordinates overall staffing activities for nurisng units. - Guides staff as a clinical resource. - Communicates verbally and in wirting with Department/Division Leadership and/or Executive leadership Staff regarding items for follow-up information. - Implements call back system for OR, GI, Cath Lab, etc. when requested by physicians.- Bachelor's Degree required, Nursing or Health related field.- 3 to 5 years minimum related nursing experience.- State of Florida RN License- Current BCLS and ACLS certificationsEqual Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
