Job Description Summary:

The Office of Medical Education (OME) serves as the centralized office committed to developing, delivering and evaluating curriculum for both pre-clinical and clinical medical education. OME supports faculty, students and curricular committees. The Program Coordinator provides administrative support for the Clinical Skills and Reasoning (CSR) Theme curriculum in the Medical Degree (MD) Program. The CSR curriculum provides students the fundamental knowledge and skills of history-taking, physical examination, diagnostic reasoning, and clinical management that will be required for clinical clerkships and for future practice as a physician. The curriculum provides the opportunity to practice those skills in small group settings and in a physician's office, beginning in the first semester of medical school.
The Program Coordinator also provides general support for other aspects of the MD program that are overseen by the Office of Medical Education.

Responsibilities Include:
• Serves as primary contact for medical student questions regarding the Clinical Skills and Reasoning curriculum.
• Prepares end-of-course teacher evaluations for department review
• Maintains records for curriculum meetings: create agenda, take notes, prepare minutes, and track action items
• Summarizes data and reports
• Creates presentations for curriculum development
• Supports the creation of faculty evaluations in Qualtrics and verify completed student evaluations
• Proctors medical student exams
• Maintains up-to-date directories of office personnel, committee members, and other curriculum stakeholders
• Oversees office procurement, including holding office purchase card, maintaining and ordering supplies, working with external vendors, and purchasing food and supplies for meeting and events
• Supports traveling staff by purchasing and arranging airfare and conference registration
• Provides Administrative support to the Director
• Provides administrative support for other medical education activities, including faculty development sessions, interprofessional education sessions, and intersessions.
• Performs other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

•Experience working in an institution of higher education.
•Detail and goal oriented with the ability to focus on completion of specific projects.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software programs.
•Ability to work with minimal direction and effectively manage multiple priorities for multiple parties and frequent changes in work assignments.
