ALUMNI OFFICER III
Job Summary Alumni Chapters exist in multiple cities across the state, country, as well as abroad, and it is the Alumni Chapters department within the Office of Alumni Relations that develops chapters and chapter leaders to represent the very best of the University of Georgia. This position reports to the Senior Director of Alumni Chapters and is responsible for assisting in implementing the strategic vision of the Office of Alumni Relations through the Alumni Chapters effort. The Associate Director of Alumni Chapters will assist in recruiting, training, and leading alumni chapter volunteers. This requires regular meetings with chapter leaders to assist with events planning and coordination and to train chapter leaders of the responsibilities and processes involved with volunteer alumni chapter leadership. The position requires well-developed interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively adapt communication style to work with volunteer leaders. Regular communication with the Development and Alumni Relations Communications department is also necessary to manage chapter social media efforts, newsletters, and other communications. The Associate Director will participate in planning events organized by the Office of Alumni Relations and will assist with strategic alumni outreach initiatives. This position will be responsible for managing specific Arch Chapters as assigned, and will be responsible for managing requests for both Arch and Pillar Chapters. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related development experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience/training.
