This position serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of the Office of Quality Improvement and Administrative Process Redesign, a dynamic strategy and consulting office that recently formed from the merger of two previously separate offices with complementary service offerings. The office is a campus-wide resource for process improvement, strategic planning, project management, facilitation, and other services that help support administrative and academic leaders and staff in planning and implementing campus strategic initiatives. This position is supervised by the OQI/APR director and provides support to the director, as well as the office's project coordinator, communications officer, and multiple (currently, 11) consultants.
In addition to providing administrative support for the office, the position also serves as the lead special event and workshop coordinator, initial point of contact for client engagement, and receptionist. The position exercises considerable independent judgment, requires strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a wide variety of tasks. OQI/APR supports a positive, team-oriented approach, and the incumbent is expected to contribute to office improvement systems as well as other project work.
Additionally, the office has a need for someone skilled in graphic design. While this is not a requirement of the position, applicants who have knowledge of and experience with graphic design will receive additional consideration.
