This position reports directly to the Dean of the College of Social Work and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Office of the Dean. This position will be responsible for Dean-level compliance with University and College regulations. Will provide senior-level, confidential professional support for the Dean and be the liaison for the Dean's Office with campus-wide administrators and other constituents outside the University. This individual will coordinate the special projects for the Dean and College events. Will maintain faculty transcript database, maintaining the University transcript scanning requirements for SACS accreditation standards.

Physical Requirements

This position will require working on a computer for long periods of time. There will be occasional lifting of under 15 pounds.


Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (40 hours/week); and occasional Evenings and Weekends.


This individual will possess excellent time management and organizational skills. He/she should be able to handle multiple projects with confidential management and be able to work independently. Perform the duties consistently with a high degree of accuracy, and be able to work with a diverse group of faculty, staff and students. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites is a must.

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree or at least four years of professional administrative experience in an academic setting are preferred.
