The Phlebotomy Lab Technician/Certified will be responsible for collecting patient specimens as well as processing and throughput of samples at Chandler, Good Samaritan, and Kentucky Clinic locations. As a member of our team, this position supports all levels and varieties of patients in our fast-paced academic medical center, including transplant, hematology/oncology, and pediatric patients.
The successful candidate will demonstrate compassion for patients, as well as the ability to anticipate problems and take appropriate action. Strong teamwork and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work independently when needed is also a plus.
The Laboratory, which is CAP accredited, allows employees an opportunity to work with state of the art instrumentation and technology. This position also provides new hires with a comprehensive training program in a supportive team environment.

Physical Requirements

Regular repetitive motion, risk of injuries from equipment and cuts/punctures, and transporting objects up to 10 lbs, as well as intermittent work at a computer workstation and risk of back injury. Regular exposure to bloodborne/airborne pathogens.



Shift

Rotating shift, which could include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Strong phlebotomy training, as well as customer service, teamwork, and patient care skills are essential for the successful candidate.
