UK Healthcare is seeking an individual with excellent customer services skill to work in an ambulatory lab setting, either in a Physician's office lab and/or collection site. Individuals should be proficient in collecting specimens from patients of all age groups.
The Medical Lab Technician duties will include registration and scheduling of patients utilizing all appropriate systems and check insurance coverage and eligibility. This position will also manage the release of electronic orders and handle some specimen collection and processing. Individual may perform waived and moderately complex testing.
The candidate must be a team player and be able to take initiative.

Physical Requirements

Regular use of computer workstation and repetitive motion. Occasional standing or walking with objects up to 25 pounds. Occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and over 50 pounds. Regular exposure to bloodborne/airborne pathogens.



Shift

Monday - Friday, day shift with some early morning and early evening hours. Possibility for call time.



Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Phlebotomy training, general computing, customer service, critical thinking.
