Responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Advising for the BU Hub in the Office of the Provost. The Director of Advising is responsible for supporting and assuring excellent academic advising across the undergraduate schools and colleges for Boston University's first university-wide general eduction program, the BU Hub. Advising for the BU Hub will be developed in the context of, and concurrently with, the current initiative to realize the university-wide advising mission statement and learning outcomes ratified by the University Council in May 2016.

Required Skills

B.A. /B.S. required; and one to three years of relevant experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills, including ability to write well and to deal effectively and diplomatically with various constituencies. Must be able to work independently, to anticipate office needs, to set priorities in consultation with others, and to handle sensitive/confidential information. Ability to conduct research (for example, about other universities and programs), to synthesize and analyze data and other information, and to produce reports, charts, graphs, etc., is desirable. Should be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with WordPress helpful.
