PROGRAM MANAGER, BU Hub (5053/I1417)
The Office of the Provost at Boston University seeks applicants for the position of Program Manager of the Cross-College Challenge (XCC), the interdisciplinary, cross college, collaborative projects that will become the signature experience of the BU Hub, Boston University's first university-wide undergraduate general education program. The Program Manager will play a leadership role in planning, piloting and, eventually, implementing at scale the Cross-College Challenge by providing expertise and guidance to the campus community. Working collaboratively with the faculty, staff, deans, department chairs, community partners, and alumni relations, the Program Manager will oversee the administration of the XCC. The Program Manager reports to the Faculty Director of the XCC, who provides academic direction. The Program Manager of the XCC is a member of the BU Hub leadership team, coordinated by the Managing Director of the BU Hub, who provides logistical direction.
The ability to work independently and as a member of a team, anticipating office and project needs, and recommending solutions; excellent communication skills, especially ability to write well for digital communications; high levels of tact and discretion; capacity to represent the XCC in public settings; expertise in working with diverse university-based and off-campus personnel and institutions. B.A./B.S. required, three to five years in higher education administration. Experience as a faculty member at a research university preferred, but not required.
