ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, College of Arts & Sciences, Romance Studies (5055/I1417)
The Administrative Assistant manages all aspects of the department's graduate programs in French and Spanish. The administrator works closely with the Chair and Director of Graduate Studies, and is responsible for the smooth administrative functioning of a graduate program comprised of approximately 32 M.A. and Ph.D students. He/she directs the admissions process of the graduates programs and monitors the on-going progress of all graduate students. The administrator also works with graduate student lecturers and teaching fellows to keep the undergraduate instruction program on track for thousands of students per semester. The Administrative Assistant organizes faculty searches and drafts hiring paperwork as well as edits and maintains the departments website, print and electronic media, and print and electronic bulletins for the college and graduate school.
Associate's degree required, bachelor's degree preferred. One to three years of experience.
