Excelsior College, a regionally accredited, virtual, private, nonprofit institution of higher learning is seeking dynamic applicants for the position of Institutional Outcomes Assessment Manager within Analytics and Decision Support Office.


Summary


The Institutional Outcomes Assessment Manager is responsible for carrying out the curriculum review process and the assessment of general education learning outcomes. He or she works collaboratively with assessment personnel in each of the college's schools to facilitate coordinated measurement and improvement of student learning outcomes.

This a full time position based in Albany, NY, reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Analytics and Decision Support.



Responsibilities


  • Leads the assessment of general education outcomes
  • Coordinate curriculum review process for degree and certificate programs
  • Maintains college system for analyzing and reporting measures related to the assessment of learning outcomes.
  • Provides support as needed to academic units in the development of assessment plans, strategies,rubrics, and other tools
  • Conducts analyses; prepares reports and presents results in support of overall academic assessment processes.
  • Participates in college wide preparation for accreditation reviews.



Qualifications


  • Earned doctoral degree required, preferably in assessment, measurement, educational research,program evaluation, curriculum development, educational psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience in outcomes assessment strategies in higher education; experience in higher education in faculty or administrative role preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to synthesize and translate complex data into meaningful information.
  • Knowledge and skills in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Productive time management
  • Excellent organization
