IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Job description

Duties: Provide leadership for effective integration of digital audio and video into electronic communications School-wide. Select the equipment, software and technical formats required to keep SAS media current with contemporary standards. Develop workflows for high quality and efficient processing from capture to editing to publication, including act as lead manager of the Media.SAS server. Coordinate and operate video conferences, webcasts and VIP presentations. Manage the Multi-Media Services inventory of portable equipment. Use and develop online systems to process equipment loans, reserve facilities, schedule recordings and assign staff. Advise faculty and staff on how they can develop their own capabilities and workflows for media production. Provide project management services for installation of AV systems.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; Bachelor's degree and 0-1 years of experience preferred. The successful candidate must be organized, possess excellent customer service skills and be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. The final candidate should be abreast of current and emerging technologies. Familiarity with Mac & Windows OS, and popular mobile devices required; ability to work and communicate with users of varying levels of technical expertise required; ability to work independently with limited direct supervision in a self-motivated and self-directed manner required. Preferred experience includes editing applications (Adobe Creative Suites , FinalCut Studio, Premiere), professional and commercial HD video cameras, audio recording systems, lighting and production equipment, media distribution services, Drupal content management system, live web-streaming, and video & collaboration conferencing systems. Candidates must possess excellent organizational, time management skills and be able to adapt to frequent change, and be able to work under pressure. All candidates should have a strong customer service orientation and a set of solid interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs required.

Position schedule 8:00 am to 4:00pm, with occasional need for flexible schedule.
