Asst Professor - Religion and Politics or Minorities in Politics or Jewish Studies

Overview of Job Duties:
The Department of Political Science and the Program in Jewish Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder invite applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in Religion and Politics or Minorities in Politics or Jewish Studies. The search will focus on but will not be limited to scholars with a research interest in Jewish Studies.
Priority will be given to candidates whose teaching interests include Jews and Judaism in the public sphere, anti-Semitism in American politics, or the politics of the Jewish experience in America, for example. The position will be fully rostered in Political Science, with teaching split evenly between the two academic units. Because the position requires substantial undergraduate teaching in Jewish Studies, the successful candidate must have demonstrable strength and interest in teaching in courses in the area of Jewish Studies.

Candidates who have completed a PhD in political science and those who are ABD may apply. ABDs will be hired at the instructor level and will be allowed up to two years to complete the PhD. PhDs will be hired at the Assistant Professor level.
