Bachelor's required, preference for a degree from an education, arts or communication field

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Six months experience with Adobe Captivate, Camtasia Studio or Articulate
  • One year experience with web-programming code
  • One year experience with graphical editing software in the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Six months experience with the design of face to face training curriculum
  • Six months experience with the delivery of face to face training curriculum
  • Experience in a consulting role
  • Strong time management skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to problem-solve

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading or co-leading instructional design planning with subject matter experts or instructors.
  • Experience or credentials with instructional design or curriculum development

Position Summary:

DoIT Academic Technology advances the University of Wisconsin-Madison's mission and strategic priorities as well as the Wisconsin Idea by wisely applying technology to current and future academic environments. More specifically, this position works within a team that supports faculty in the design and development of undergraduate timetable courses. The team also supports campus compliance training and UW grant outreach efforts when online education is a distribution method.

Additional Information:

The work schedule for this position may vary from week to week. The person hired should expect to work between 15-40 hrs per week.

This position is initially expected to last 6 to 12 months, with the possibility of extending the position up to a maximum of two years.
