The Budget Analyst Senior Specialist is critical in developing budgets at case level, product-line level, and physician level. This is the base in the development of gross revenue, net revenue, resource requirements, and variable supplies. This position will be developing FTEs based on the budget volume and productivity benchmarks established within UK HealthCare along with trend analysis on all FTEs. This role will coordinate, manage, and disseminate budget tools, calendars, and systems while driving to optimize existing practices and procedures.

Sitting for periods of time.


Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm.


Understanding of the healthcare industry, trends, issues, risks, etc. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in finance (including budgeting, forecasting, strategic financial planning, and capital planning) in an integrated healthcare environment. Advanced computer skills with strong knowledge of spreadsheet programs. Ability to perform under changing circumstances and deadlines. Strong attention to detail with the ability to learn quickly. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to gain respect and confidence with professional peers.

Preferred Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university in Business Administration, Business Management, or business related field is preferred. Progressively responsible work experience in budgeting and financial planning and experience with database and decision support systems is also preferred.
