Assistant Professor ~ Nursing
The Nursing Department invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant to begin August 2018. The department seeks candidates committed to undergraduate teaching excellence at a comprehensive institution that supports both liberal arts curricula and professional programs. Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level; two years of full time clinical experience in the area/areas of teaching responsibility; teaching methodology, curriculum development, evaluation, or willingness to plan for acquisition of thes skills no later than the first year of teaching; and current/unencumbered RN license.
Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence with preference given to candidates with previous teaching in a nursing curriculum and with academic preparation that includes degree specialty coursework, or other preparation sufficient to address the major concepts included in courses they teach. Demostrated experience in any of the following areas: care of the adult in the medical-surgical critical care setting.
Master’s Degree in nursing required; a doctorate degree in nursing or related field is preferred. Documentation of RN licensure in NY, CPR. If RN licensure is from another state, applicant must have the ability to become licensed in New York.
