Location: Justice Center & Various Regional Facilities
Bargaining (Union) Position reporting to Corrections Supervisor
Hours: Variable Hours/Shifts. 7 Day Operation
Pay Rate: $14.57 hr. ($15.60 after one year)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise inmates within the Correction Center in all daily activities. Supervision duties include ;
observation of inmate behavior, making appropriate referrals, inmate searches, enumerating inmates, distributing
meals, commissary, hygiene items and mail. Reporting unusual incidents orally and through documentation; escorting
inmates throughout the center. Use of safety and security equipment to include; keys, alarm devices, fire extinguishers,
self-contained breathing apparatus, fire and riot hoses, electrical control panels, appropriate OSHA safety equipment ,
computer terminals, printer, fax, laundering equipment and any other mechanical equipment used within the Center .
Complete required routine forms, logs and reports.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED. Must be 21 years old and not have been convicted of a felony.
Knowledge of supervising inmates in a controlled environment, security measures and safety practices associated with
detention of felons.
