Duties: Essential Functions
* provides professional medical services to patients
* performs prompt, courteous and competent professional services in accordance with generally accepted professional standards for such services and with the standards established from time to time
* provides inpatient hospital services as required and fulfills all medico-administrative duties associated with membership on each hospital medical staff of which clinician is a member
* may participates in a minimum of 50 hours per year of active and high quality teaching or equivalent service
* prepares, in accordance with generally accepted medical practice and in accordance with policies and procedures, records of all professional services rendered, obtains and maintains an appointment to the medical staff (if applicable) and the associated faculty of the Perelman School of Medicine (if applicable)
* if applicable, uses best efforts to obtain and maintain appointments to and clinical privileges with the medical staffs of Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and such other hospitals as may reasonably be designated
* maintains DEA licensure, if applicable
* maintains license to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania or location of affiliate, if applicable
* obtains and maintains status as a participating provider in required insurance programs and shall participate in any other third party payor program if applicable
* complies with established policies, practices and procedures regarding billing and collection
* participates in CPUP malpractice insurance plan, if applicable
* abides by bylaws and policies of the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine, UPHS, CHOP, CPUP, and affiliates

Qualifications: Highly advanced professional discipline. M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree and 1 year to 2 years of experience required. License to practice medicine without restriction or limitation; DEA licensure; Board certified or eligible for certification.
