Degree and Area of Specialization:

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required or equivalent experience.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Required Qualifications
-A minimum of 3 years of direct work experience in a human resources role; where recruitment was a key responsibility.
-Working knowledge of state and federal regulations/policies/laws including Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative action, FLSA, etc.
-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office skills (Windows, Outlook, Word PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with UW-Madison recruiting/selection, hiring and compensation policies and procedures.
-Experience recruiting staff and faculty in a higher education or healthcare environment.
-Demonstrated understanding through direct work experience with innovative recruitment and sourcing strategies
-Good knowledge of human resource administration of compensation and recruiting practices.
-Excellent organization, communication, and customer service skills.
-Experience with applicant tracking systems.
-Experience developing or redesigning a recruitment process.

Position Summary:

The Recruitment Manager provides high quality, professional human resource recruitment consulting services to hiring managers and HR business partners for UW-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH). The position, as the School's recruitment process owner, provides guidance and communication regarding recruiting practices, policies, and procedures that ensure consistency, compliance, and transparency. This position will also manage leadership recruitments.
