The Center for Innovative Learning (CIL) provides support for faculty and students engaged in online and blended courses. We offer expertise in instructional design, online curriculum design, course development, technical support and best practices in teaching and learning; as well as, support for educational technology and assessment services.

Position Details
The Center for Innovative Learning at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire an Instructional Tech Specialist to join our team.

The Instructional Tech Specialist is responsible to provide quality customer service, a broad array of technical assistance with applications of educational technology and other forms of technical support regarding delivery of education in the classroom and online.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting with providing and maintaining faculty and student access to the university's Learning Management System (LMS), which is Canvas.
* Collaborate with content developers to ensure that the LMS design standards and requirements are met.
* Provide technical advice and support to faculty and staff regarding LMS rules, procedures and requirements.
* Assist faculty in developing and aligning instructional platforms for delivery of online and blended courses that are compatible with the LMS.
* Deliver faculty development sessions that focus on use of the LMS and other forms of educational technologies.
* Pilot new educational technologies designed to improve students' learning experiences.
* Provide instructional guidance and assistance to faculty and staff through training, demonstration, advice and support.
* Based on customer feedback, propose actions designed to promote or enhance customer satisfaction with services provided by the CIL.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) support requirements.
* Experience with LMS "help desk-like" customer support activities.
* Experience with Canvas as an administrator.
* Knowledge and/or experience in instructional design.
* Experience with Qualtrics software.
