Starting pay is based on experience, with a minimum starting rate of $14.25 per hour
This full time permanent position will provide support to the Field Director and the Mail and Data Entry Supervisor for all Mail and Data Entry projects in that department. The Mail and Data Entry department provides mail and data entry services for all University of Wisconsin Survey Center projects. This includes preparation and assembly of complex mailings, applying postage, CASES instrument debugging and data entry, and extensive management of the various self-administered questionnaires. In addition this position will be responsible for receipt and updating of self-administered questionnaires in the project database, respondent tracking, and other administrative tasks. The position serves as a backup to the M&DE department supervisors, and will be responsible for meeting M&DE production goals and overseeing production processing and quality control. Proficiency in Access, including ability to develop complex queries is desired. As a Lead Worker this position regularly oversees production staff. Managing daily work assignments, directing debugging efforts, answering questions from production staff, and maintaining production schedules are part of the daily tasks if this position. Direct supervisor is Steve Coombs, UWSC Field Director.
Somewhat flexible, may need to work sporadic weekends and evenings

Applicants who have had experience in mail room settings are encouraged to apply. Supervisory experience is also a plus. Position is responsible for leading up small groups of employees to assemble mailing materials and data enter self-administered questionnaires for social science research projects.
