Summary of Job Duties

The Curriculum Designer for Student Success supports institutional efforts to increase student success as measured by retention and graduation rate. This position analyzes student performance data, identifies barriers, and develops/implements pedagogical interventions to enhance student learning and success. Curriculum Designer for Student Success also provides training on how to use analytics and retention tools as well as how to interpret the assessment results for continuous pedagogical improvement. This position reports to Director of Instructional Design and Support Services.

  • Master's degree in instructional design, curriculum design, learning analytics, or equivalent field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least seven years of prior experience in the related field

Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in the field of education from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Teaching experience in higher education setting
  • Extensive experience in instructional design and curriculum design
  • Experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets

  • Familiarity/knowledge with qualitative and quantitative research
  • Familiarity/knowledge with program evaluation
  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and educational psychology
  • In-depth knowledge of outcomes assessment and curriculum design
  • Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Ability to respectfully communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and expertise
