Events Sales Manager
The Events Sales & Sponsorship Manager is responsible for inbound and outbound sales in the assigned market segments. Sales will include meetings, social events, happy hours, product launches, awards banquets, picnics , vendor/client appreciation as well as other related SMERF and Corporate events. Position is also responsible for developing and driving location sponsorship opportunities through direct sales initiatives. The position requires that you are able to have fun and work with a very high energy award winning passionate team.
How To Make $:
- Achieve identified assigned group event sales by period, by week, by month, by quarter, by year.
- Support the group events coordination team by providing accurate and timely information for sold events. Be prepared to help execute an event with group services if necessary.
- Maintain a professional reputation in the community.
- Support the General Manager with effective communication with the team by participating in the weekly communication sales meetings.
- Ensure an atmosphere of open communication & cooperation is maintained by you with the entire team.
- Develop and upgrade sales packages to meet the needs of clients.
- Attend networking, business after hours and related association events.
• 3+ years selling experience in a hospitality, leisure or amusement/FEC sales environment is preferred
- Self-motivator with the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational & time management skills and the ability to work in a high energy, fun and always evolving entertainment environment with others.
- Comprehension and understanding of Meeting Planner needs.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Professional appearance and presentation.
- Must display confidence and the ability to achieve identified objectives.
- Proven track record of successful sales results in their respective market segments.
- Strong team building skills.
- Ability to talk to all levels of management from an hourly team member to a CEO.
- Strong networking ability and able to develop community relationships.
