General Statement of Duties
The Associate Registrar will assist with all activities related to academic records, conferral of degrees, course registration, classroom schedules, and related areas, including supervision of assigned staff. Specific responsibility for using record management systems such as BANNER, the College Catalog content management system, DegreeWorks, and other records related systems.
Edits college catalog in accordance with curriculum changes. Maintains all prerequisite, course and program requirements in Banner catalog. Represents the Records Office at Academic Affairs meetings. Makes all curriculum changes in Banner; updates all program requirements in hard copy and degree audit program (DegreeWorks). Troubleshoots all problems in degree audit program. Develops presentations for the training of advisors on curriculum changes. Oversees maintenance of academic policies as they relate to student records. Coordinates implementation of policies/procedures related to catalog maintenance and access, providing written documentation and training of the policies and supporting procedures. Oversee transfer credit evaluation and staff assigned to this. Develop policy and procedures including best-practice maintenance of the Banner Transfer Course Articulation. Responsible for staff evaluating transfer credits and developing catalog of courses accepted in transfer. Instructs assigned staff in the planning and performance of these duties according to established standards. Works with Associate Dean of Records and Institutional Research in evaluation process of assigned staff. Provides end user training for academic advisors and administrators utilizing the Degree Works product. Provides end user training for new Banner end users and Catalog software, Courseleaf, to ensure data accuracy and compliance with data entry standards. Assists Records office staff with the creation of the academic schedules. Maintains Registrar's Office website, portal, and student self -service web pages, ensuring correct curriculum and policy information on related pages. Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree required.
A minimum of two years' experience in the delivery of student support services in a college setting or equivalent experience in a non-academic setting.
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the community college mission and student population.
Experience in, and or knowledge of, working with students, staff and faculty of diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including those with different levels of academic preparation and varying physical and learning abilities.
Demonstrated experience with integrated records management system, preferably Ellucian Banner. Experience performing credit evaluation and degree audits. Experience with DegreeWorks and/or Course Catalog software preferred.
Superior skills with Excel and other report writing software applications preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively with college deans, faculty and staff.
Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, interpersonal and presentation skills required.
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000
