FACULTY COORDINATOR, RECRUITMENT AND APPOINTMENTS
Duties: The Faculty Affairs Coordinator for Recruitment and Appointment represents FAPD as a resource to all levels of department administration in Penn Medicine as well as University administration to ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of all activities related to recruitment and appointment of full-time faculty and Penn Medicine Clinicians, to facilitate the processes for those actions, and to ensure compliance with employment policies of Penn Medicine and the University. Also participates in development and implementation of faculty onboarding and other faculty professional development initiatives.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices, preferably in an academic setting; excellent verbal, written skills, and interpersonal communication skills; excellent problem-solving skills. Exceptionally organized, meticulous & detail oriented. Must be able to work independently, multi-task, meet critical, simultaneous deadlines, prioritize; excellent customer service skills; ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a team member; ability to deal effectively with diverse constituencies; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues throughout Penn Medicine and University; thorough knowledge of U of P and PSOM faculty policies necessary; strong computer/technology skills including Microsoft suite, web-based applications, reports, etc.
