Duties: The Research Support Services team at the Annenberg Public Policy Center is seeking a technical and highly motivated individual to fill the role of Application Developer. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive array of technical knowledge, with experience in all phases of the SDLC. Design, test and deliver new system solutions to meet organizational needs; develop and support the center's websites, applications, and databases. Design and develop innovative solutions to streamline workflows and provide development support for future projects working in collaboration with the Research team and key stakeholders including faculty and staff. Build and maintain strategic, high-level relationships across the center and the University to leverage resources and maintain knowledge of new or emerging technologies and solutions. Participate in relevant center and University teams, committees, task forces and special interest groups. Occasionally work outside normal business hours is expected.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in application development, preferably in higher education or research, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. At least 2 years of experience in application development strongly preferred.

Proficiency with PHP, JavaScript, and JQuery is a must; familiarity and experience with CSS, .Net, and C# is preferred, as well as knowledge of SQL (MSSQL, and MySQL), and other database technologies, including design and administration. Experience with version control, utilizing Git, and software build/release management, testing, and automation. Knowledge and experience with hosting WordPress on AWS EC2 & RDS is required. PowerShell experience is a plus.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem solving skills along with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to provide effective consultation and solutions to clients. Strong written and verbal communication skills a must. Enterprise-level project management experience with the ability to manage multiple complex, high priority projects with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
