Degree and Area of Specialization:
A degree is not required for this position, though prior training and education in office management, communications or project management is strongly desired.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
1) Minimum of 2 years experience in an operations or communications environment with strong organizational, technical and leadership skills required.
2) The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can function with minimal supervision.
3) Ability to manage sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality at all times.
4) Ability to prioritize and keep multiple constituents on task.
5) Professional level and highly efficient use of basic Office software products. Experience with document sharing products.
Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant professional work experience. A minimum of seven years of experience is required for appointment at the senior level.
The Clinical Administrative Coordinator and Engagement Specialist manages the administrative operations for the Medical Director of Cancer Services, the Faculty Director of Clinical Research Central Office, the Assistant Director of Clinical Research, and Clinical Research Program Managers (i.e., POD Managers). This position also facilitates the active recruitment of clinical research work force. The position is supervised by the Assistant Director of Finance and Strategic Planning.
The incumbent is expected to follow the policies, procedures, guidelines for excellence and professionalism established by the UWCCC and the University of Wisconsin. Additionally, this position will assure that all clinical research activity adheres to Federal, State, and University policies, procedures and requirements.
