Essential functions of this position:
The position supports Disbursements and Purchasing and the uShop (Jaeger) and Chrome River (CR) systems. As the System Administrator for uShop and CR, the position plans, designs, examines, analyzes, develops, implements, administers and monitors the business and program processes and systems. This position ensures that uShop and CR interface with Banner and AiM. The position also sets up new vendors in Banner. The position teaches classes to train the staff and faculty on using these systems.
N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:
Understanding of financial system processes and reporting tools
Technical knowledge of financial systems and how those systems interact with each other
General knowledge of GASB and GAAP
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
Ability to present information to others and provide training
Experience working with integrated accounting and ERP systems
General understanding of procurement, accounting and travel policies and data standards
Preferred education, professional skills and experience:
Experience working with Banner, Jaeger, and Chrome River
Disbursements and procurements experience
Experience working for a higher education institution
Ability to re-engineer techniques to successfully improve, implement and adapt financial system processes for operational units and campus system users
Ability to set and meet project design time tables based on user expectations, policies and guidelines
Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, flow charts, and other written communications in connection with how systems work
Recruitment Range: $53,341 - $59,268
NC Salary Grade Equivalency: 74
Hours Per Week: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
