MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 	
• Ph. D. in Human Development or contributing discipline (e.g., Anthropology, Psychology, Public Health, or Sociology)
• Degree at time of application or official notification of the completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2018
• Demonstrated ability or potential to effectively teach undergraduate courses in Human Development
• Record of or demonstrated potential for successful research and publication
• Bio-cultural or socio-cultural background with a research and teaching focus on health and/or well-being within the context of adult development and aging
• Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population

					
DESIRED/PREFERRED	
QUALIFICATIONS:	
• Demonstrated ability to teach specialized courses on adult development and aging
• Demonstrated ability to teach adult development within the contexts of diverse communities
• Demonstrated ability to teach courses from an interdisciplinary perspective
• Demonstrated ability to mentor student research
• Demonstrated training in Health Sciences, Sociology or Gerontology.
• Specific area of research should focus on topics relevant to healthcare policies, health equity and health disparities, the sociology of care, vulnerable populations, and mental health issues, or well-being in the contexts of diverse communities
• Demonstrated ability to conduct research leading to publication in areas relevant to the department's mission
• Experience working in an interdisciplinary context
• Evidence of or potential for department, college, university, and community service
