Position Summary: The Assistant Director, Undergraduate Business Career Services (the Assistant Director or the AD) will assist with executing the daily operations of the career services office within the Undergraduate Business Program (UBP). The duties of the AD include, but are not limited to: a) providing individual career advising and counseling to UBP students, b) developing and delivering student workshops and other training sessions, c) serving as an advisor to career-related student clubs, d) managing the UBP intern program, e) developing and maintaining relationships with recruiters, business practitioners and alumni as well as staff across the business school and university, f) promoting various career-related opportunities to UBP students through a weekly newsletter and social media, g) assisting with the planning and delivery of various events, including large-scale and complex offerings to both newly admitted and current students in the UBP, h) enforcing recruiting related policies, i) facilitating communications between students, faculty, employers, alumni and other stakeholders, and j) developing and maintaining a database regarding the future plans of UBP students. The AD will also be responsible for the creation and management of various tools, resources, surveys, events and processes to support student career and professional development to enable undergraduate business students to meet their internship, employment and other post-graduation outcome goals. Additionally, this position will frequently interact with both prospective and current employers as well as main campus partners, particularly during the coordination of various on- and off-campus events. The Assistant Director will report to the Associate Director, Undergraduate Business Career Development.

Education Requirements: Bachelor degree required. A graduate degree in Business or Education is preferred.
Qualification and Experience: Minimum work experience of three years post-bachelor degree is required. Relevant work experience in either career development, sales, business development, higher education or HR-related function is preferred. Individual must have professional maturity and credibility to interact with corporate leaders and students as well as faculty and administrative leaders within the university. This position also requires the person to be motivated, organized, detail-oriented and keenly aware of the importance of deadlines and timelines. Because communication and presentation skills are a large component of this position, the Assistant Director must have strong interpersonal skills, supporting the development and maintenance of both internal as well as external relationships. This position requires proficiency in various technologies (e.g., MS Office Suite, social media and numerous other applications) and the ability to embrace diversity and the promotion of opportunities for diverse students. Equally important, the Assistant Director must have the ability to design, implement and enforce career development procedures and policies. This position requires evening and weekend work and involves periodic travel.
