Advertised Job Summary: Monitors loan approvals, rejects, and denials. Responsible for adjustments to loans and other sources of aid. Reconciles loan records both Direct loans and Private loans in conjunction with the Students account office and ensures proper integrity of the Financial Aid (FA) system. Responsible for the setup and processing of all loan funds for all lender platforms and monitor via the ELM and COD systems which will ensure the integrity for certification, reallocation, and receipt of funds. - Counsels all students prospective and current as well as parents, faculty and staff. - Review and process all loan application including loan certification. - Review a portion of the files for verification and ensures completion and proper set up of corrected information to be disseminated to the ED. - Responsible for loan entrance and exit counseling. Ensuring that records are updated via the FA system. - Review student files for packaging. Prep FA system for follow-up correspondence to students. Ensure FA system is properly coded for electronic submission to the Central Processing System (CPS) and printing of awards from the FA system. - Responsible for set up of all students within the NSLDS system to ensure the transfer, monitor, and alert system is compliant with the ED
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Masters degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience. Successful background check is required.
