Adjunct Faculty - Health Information Technology Instructor
This position is for a position in spring of 2018, starting in January.
Provide instruction and monitor teaching/learning effectiveness in courses assigned by the division Assistant Dean. An adjunct faculty position requires professionals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates for this position must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask as well as the ability to engage large groups of people with complicated material.
Class Specific Description:
Responsible to teach lecture per AHIMA guidelines
Is responsible to prepare the syllabus, instruct the assigned course based upon the course outline and incorporate learning-centered college principles and concepts.
Responsible for course paperwork such as attendance and grade postings.
Responsible to attend twice a year orientation at Waubonsee (August/January) and discipline meetings throughout the year as scheduled.

Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or a related field.
Candidate must be a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) in good standing.
Demonstrated experience with industry software.
Two years teaching at the college level is preferred.
Previous teaching or training experience is preferred.
