Department Overview
The College of Visual and Design has recently created a stand alone college-wide separate Core Art Program to enhance the freshman experience. The program has a director to oversees the offerings and curricula in Drawing I & II, and Design I & II.

Job Description
The Studio Art Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Art Technician I to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Management and maintenance of equipment.
* Purchasing supplies.
* Setting and enforcing safety standards.
* Supervising hourly workers.
* Keeping records, and conducting general office duties in the Drawing Foundations program studios primarily to ensure that students are able to perform the work required of them in their classes, as well as other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess an Associate's Degree and two years of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* An MFA in a Studio Art or Design discipline, or an MA in Art Education; and 2 years minimum college teaching experience at the level of TA, TF or above.
