Position Description

Advertised Job Summary

The Associate Director of Integrated Communications leads a dynamic team of creative professionals to enhance our academic reputation by telling the University brand story through digital and print communications across owned, earned and paid media channels. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the Integrated Communications team working closely with the Director of Integrated Communications. The Associate Director will manage an interdisciplinary brand team consisting of marketing, public relations and design professionals as well as communications professionals in select units.
Additionally, the individual will execute strategic communications plans for the units served by the brand team.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Master's degree in communications or related field and 4 years public relations experience in an administrative capacity, or bachelor's degree and 6 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Four years of progressive experience working in integrated communications, marketing communications, public relations, design or a related communications field with two years of management experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Experience with the development and execution of communications strategies, creative briefs and communications plans. Demonstrated experience in employee leadership and motivation, including goal setting and performance reviews. Proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to work in a rapid-response, team environment.
