Coe College seeks qualified applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Social and Criminal Justice beginning Spring 2018 or Fall 2018. The successful candidate will have a specialization in Criminal and Social Justice, and a commitment to undergraduate teaching. This is exclusively a teaching position, with the teaching load being 3/3; the position does include healthcare benefits. Renewable by mutual agreement.

The candidate must be prepared to teach multiple sections of Introduction to Social and Criminal Justice, and additional courses in the candidate’s portfolio which will contribute to the Social and Criminal Justice program at Coe College. We are particularly interested in candidates who could teach a sophomore level course in Law Enforcement and Corrections and/or Juvenile Justice.  The College strongly values a commitment to a student-centered approach and a multicultural perspective in teaching. Ph.D. preferred, although we would consider hiring an ABD candidate at the Instructor level. Candidates with terminal degrees in closely related fields will also be considered. Candidates who can provide evidence of successful teaching will be strongly preferred.
