Summary of Duties:
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Associate Director and Director of Professional Development and Community Education department and manage the day to day office support functions. The incumbent is responsible for performing complex clerical duties, monitoring and updating website content, planning, coordinating, implementing, and promoting training events, workshops, and luncheons, create training and marketing materials, and maintain a wide variety of customer/participant records. Serves as the central point of administrative contact for internal and external constituents and provides information regarding event, program policies and/or activities.
The incumbent is also responsible for fiscal support including processing travel, reconcile purchasing requests, track, monitor, and maintain operational budget and expenditures, and create monthly budget reports.
This position requires occasional evening and weekend hours. Incumbent will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while communicating and interacting with students, faculty, staff, businesses and community leaders.
One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 1 OR a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or closely allied field and two years of responsible office experience at the senior clerical level or higher.
Clerical or office work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Graduate study may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
