Specialist III - Coordinator of Outreach Services (TWC)

Educational and Experience Requirement: Associates degree in related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three years related experience. Bilingual preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Primary Responsibilities: Performs specialist duties. Plans, develops, implements, coordinates and monitors programs or services. Provides departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff. Assists in developing policies and interprets policies and procedures. Schedules appointments and activities. Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports. Prepares, reviews, revises and distributes documents and correspondence. May be responsible for planning, directing, supervising, and participating in special projects. Oversees the work of assigned program staff. Confers with staff on program issues and problems. Recommends program guidelines, procedures, policies, and regulations. Provides departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff. Provides pre-transfer counseling to potential students at recruiting events. Coordinates with area business, community centers, consulates and similar external entities to setup outreach visits and events. Orders and maintains supply inventory. Handles P-Card purchases and monitors expenses. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions. Requires good knowledge of procedures and practices. Must be able to use standard office software. Must be able to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature.
