Under the supervision of the South Zone Facilities Unit Supervisor, perform general repairs, maintenance, construction and refinishing of building components, systems, furnishings and equipment for Residential Life. Provide functional supervision of summer temporary maintenance staff and maintain a positive working relationship with staff and residents. Work in cooperation with residential education staff to support the individual development and community building efforts for all student residents.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
High School diploma and three years related experience required to include general maintenance and/or carpentry. Familiarity with finish carpentry tools and machines required. Valid driver's license or ability to obtain. Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. required. Ability to complete 16-hour asbestos awareness training and State of Vermont Essential Maintenance Practices training. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment.
Experience reading blueprints and maintenance and operations manuals highly desirable.
