Advertised Salary:

Minimum $40,861 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications



Degree and Area of Specialization:

PhD in Biochemistry required.



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Minimum of seven years post-doctoral experience.
Minimum of ten years experience with RNA biochemistry and molecular biology.
Extensive expertise with the yeast, S. cerevisiae.
Minimum of five years experience with X. laevis microinjection.



Position Summary:

The Wickens Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated scientist to join their research and development team. The Wickens laboratory is devoted to understanding how mRNAs are controlled. The approaches in the Wickens Laboratory include in vivo strategies, test tube assays, microinjection studies and genomics. The Laboratory uses a wide variety of organisms including fungi, Xenopus and C. elegans, and the person hired must have experience with these organisms. The laboratory develops new approaches to study RNA regulation and using genomics in which the person will participate and guide others.
