Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Master's Degree in psychology, public health, or related field preferred.
Graduate level statistics study desirable.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Required- Two years of experience working with the African American community in Madison and/or Milwaukee. Experience managing multi-disciplinary research teams and executing qualitative, survey, and quantitative research is desirable.
The Research Specialist will work with a faculty member in the Social & Administrative Sciences Division at the School of Pharmacy. The faculty member's studies seek to examine how patient beliefs and psychosocial and/or psychological factors impact medication adherence, as well as develop and implement patient-centered interventions to improve adherence. This position will collaborate with African American Community Partners and Organizations on research projects under the supervision of the faculty member. He or she will be responsible for several ongoing studies and managing/coordinating research study related duties.
This is a terminal position with the possibility of an extension and transition to a fixed term renewable position.
