Job Summary


The Part-Time Professional Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the supervisor, faculty, and/or staff with the development and implementation of the School Program.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Assists with grant and/or program administration
  • Assists with curriculum development
  • Prepares periodic reports and monitors schedules
  • Writes and/or edits releases, booklets, advertisements, and other informational and marketing material
  • Intakes and resolves students complaints and determines appropriate escalation procedures
  • Locates substitute teachers for faculty
  • Monitors and prepares substitution payroll information
  • Assists with interviewing, hiring, and managing faculty that teach program courses
  • Coordinates departmental travel arrangements, events, and/or meetings
  • Assists with college-wide budgets and State reporting requirements
  • Prepares statistical data including employer and student surveys generated by the department
  • Acts on supervisors behalf and makes appropriate decisions in supervisors absence
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelors degree in related field and three (3) years of advanced administrative and clerical experience to include organizing credit and non-credit courses
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Possess superior oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications
  • Possess excellent public relations, organizational, critical thinking, and creative skills
  • Ability and to use independent judgment and sound decision making skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high volume office environment
  • Possess self-motivational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekend assignments when needed
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
