Job Summary


The Campus Services Supervisor coordinates, performs, and supervises a wide range of campus services. The position is also responsible for providing guidance to staff in areas, which may include, mail center, copy center, custodial, and maintenance. This individual also provides administrative support to Campus routine budgetary functions and exercises direction and control through the supervisors of out-sourced agencies for custodial services as assigned.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Prepares, assigns, provides guidance, and participates in the work of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers
  • Makes recommendations concerning the selection and procurement of supplies and equipment as required
  • Assists the Director in developing work with the contracted external agencies
  • Prepares on-line Campus Odyssey finance and transactions; maintaining a campus facilities database; and initiating and follow-up on maintenance requests
  • Maintaining inventory records and campus warehouse/storage
  • Prepares data and maintains the budget for the Mail Center, Copy Center, Campus repairs/maintenance contracts
  • Assists in negotiating maintenance contracts and repairs with all companies concerned
  • Maintains campus crime statistics report (Clery Act) on a monthly basis, as assigned
  • Engages in any and all required high-level maintenance follow-ups
  • Prioritizes new maintenance/repair requests by applying basic decision rules concerning health & safety , academic goals, and work environment
  • Ensures quality control, short turn-around times
  • Plans, leads and coordinates mail services campus-wide
  • Operates and maintains the duplicating equipment for the campus
  • Receives and distributes incoming mail, interoffice mail and assembles other items for shuttle service between campuses
  • Performs general moving and setup for campus events
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Minimum Requirements


  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution; or Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of related experience
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of basic U.S. Postal Regulations
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures and ability to plan, assign and coordinate varied maintenance projects
  • Knowledge of effective supervisory methods / techniques and ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Knowledge of photolithography and of offset duplicating equipment
  • Knowledge of the papers, ink, chemicals, and other supplies used in duplicating by means of multi-litho machinery
  • Knowledge of the limitations, adaptabilities, and general duplicating characteristics of the various types of masters such as paper, zinc, and aluminum
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to operate postage meter machine and perform basic typing
  • Ability to make independent decisions in accordance with procedures, laws, and regulations and apply these to work problems
  • Ability to meet and deal effectively with the general public and to use tact and good judgment
  • Ability to analyze time, labor and material requirements of proposed projects
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule which may include evening and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
