Job Summary


The Part-Time Resource and Technology Staff Assistant for MALLs (Multidisciplinary Academic Learning Lounges) provides support to the Grant Director with the coordination of Title V MALLs programs and daily activities at the site. Temporary position.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Welcomes and registers students who visit and utilize MALL services
  • Assists faculty members and staff with use of equipment and technology
  • Provides assistance to patrons during their visit including equipment loans and room set-up
  • Provides support to grant staff and presenters during events and workshops
  • Engages students and facilitates related workshops as needed
  • Assists with the promotion and coordination of special events that support MALLs objectives
  • Assists with the maintenance and daily operations of the grant
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Minimum Requirements


  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from a regionally accredited institution and experience in clerical work
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office software and specific computer programs related to area of responsibility
  • Possess excellent communication and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, faculty and staff
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
