Job Summary


The Part-Time Grant Support Specialist's primary responsibility is the case management of TechHire program participants. The position ensures that participants are linked to internal MDC services, partner services and on the job training. This is a temporary position.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Provides case management support to program participants
  • Coordinates on the job training for program participants
  • Ensures participants are linked to internal MDC services and other grant funded sources
  • Maintains data input and ensures accuracy of data collection and timely submission
  • Assists in preparing reports
  • Performs administrative tasks that aid the department in providing services to program participants
  • Coordinates and schedules meetings as needed
  • Manages student records as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Minimum Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution; or Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of related experience; or thirty (30) credits and three (3) years related experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, policies and procedures
  • Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assess participant/student information and take appropriate action
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Possess strong relational and team building skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
