Job Summary


The Part-Time Shuttle Bus Driver drives campus personnel and students to and from prescribed destinations.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Makes routine scheduled pick-ups and deliveries
  • Loads and unloads passengers
  • Assists the fleet operations area to deliver repaired vehicles to the campuses
  • Participates generally in the laboring work of the crew
  • Fuels, washes, cleans and gives routine maintenance to assigned vehicles
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Minimum Requirements


  • Completion of tenth grade High School education and demonstrated ability to read, write and understand written instruction and one (1) month of experience in the operation and routine maintenance of passenger cars, moderately heavy trucks or similar equipment
  • Possess a current valid CDL A, B, or C Driver license with a P endorsement and a clean driving record
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Knowledge and ability to adhere to traffic and other regulations governing the use of equipment
  • Knowledge and ability to avoid occupational hazards involved and ensure safety precautions necessary in the operation of equipment
  • Possess a courteous and patient demeanor
  • Ability to work and travel at all campuses as assigned
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include any shift, evenings, and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
