Job Summary

The Part-Time Special Projects Coordinator assists the office of Academic Affairs in creating, marketing, hosting and assessing key projects that enhance student engagement, enrollment, retention and completion at the North Campus.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists the Dean and the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs with campus tasks, including the coordination, preparation and execution of promotions of special projects
  • Handles communication with internal and external parties
  • Prepares and maintains all internal agreement and reservation forms for event services including space, media and technical support for Academic Affairs special projects, activities and events and follows up in a timely manner to ensure all the agreement terms are fulfilled
  • Assesses special projects and shares the assessment results for continuous improvement of campus wide activities
  • Engages students, faculty and staff to explore new opportunities and to increase awareness of projects, activities and events
  • Collaborates with staff in determining target audiences for each program and assists with implementation of marketing and advertising strategies within the department budget
  • Maintains schedule of interim and final reports to ensure timely submission and compiles anecdotal and statistical information for final reporting purposes
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution; or Associate's degree and two (2) years of experience; or thirty (30) credits and three (3) years related experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals, and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Possess highly effective organizational and problem solving skills
  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other related computer programs
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
