Job Summary


The Data and Finance Specialist interprets information requests, gathers data and prepares reports used of in order to quantify and measure the participant outcomes of the TAACCCT, TRAMCON program. The position also assists with monitoring and reconciling expenditures. This is a temporary grant funded position.


Duties & Responsibilities


•Coordinates appropriate data collection and reporting processes for the consortium
•Compiles, reviews and tracks data for timely submission of quarterly and annual performance reports to the Department of Labor
•Prepares statistical graphs and reports that measure program effectiveness on target program outcomes
•Assists with the Implementation use of data for continuous program improvement and feedback to all stakeholders
•Serves as liaison with external evaluator to incorporate data and outcomes into the evaluation design and ongoing analysis
•Works with industry and employer partners on program improvements based on data
•Serves as an administrator for and trains College personnel on use of performance management and outcomes tracking software
•Monitors system activity to ensure data integrity; coordinates and supports application software upgrades
•Provides assistance with managing the program's budget within established guidelines
•Reviews sub recipient invoices and ensures that expenditures are in compliance with federal grant requirements
•Accesses and compiles data points and inputs necessary for research goals
•Keeps filing records as backup for all data entered
•Works closely with program manager, consortium members and program partners on data definitions, integration and analysis
•Performs other duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements


•Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, Psychology or related field with three (3) years of experience on data collection and processing
•All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
•Knowledge and understanding of the College organization, goals and objectives, policies and procedures
•Demonstrated knowledge of statistical procedures and analysis as well as data collection and management procedures
•Knowledge of evaluation techniques and methodologies as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures
•Excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
•Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for reporting purposes
•Ability to effectively present information, write and manage comprehensive technical reports
•Ability to work effectively with multiple constituencies in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment
•Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings and weekends
•Ability to work independently and in a team setting
•Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks to meet grant deadlines
•Knowledge of MS Office, (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and Access)
•Ability to work in a multiethnic and multicultural environment with students, faculty and staff
