Job Summary


The Part-Time Paraprofessional is responsible for providing superior customer service to both internal and external customers. Collaborates with faculty to develop innovative educational courses using clinical simulators and multimedia equipment.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Performs a variety of routine and complex technical and clinical simulations
  • Works closely with faculty to integrate the Clinical Simulators into the learning strategies and assessment process of program curriculum
  • Performs pre/post-simulation activities, provides theatrical support and assists in creating various scenario settings
  • Provides technical support to students, faculty and other users
  • Tracks student attendance and provides supervisor with monthly attendance reports
  • Maintains supplies inventory and recommends replenishment as needed
  • Serves as an assistant to upper management and senior staff members
  • Contributes toward specific projects and functions related to clinical simulation
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Minimum Requirements


  • Associates Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of related experience or any equivalent combination of education or related medical certification
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Ability to take responsibility of and follow MDC, Clinical Simulation Lab policies and procedures; as well as, OSHA guidelines
  • Knowledge and ability to use instructional technology
  • Ability to demonstrate competency in given credential-bearing assessments; to include but not limited to, CPR, ACLS, PALS, and other skills
  • Ability to work within well established procedures, guidelines, and follow directions
  • Ability to effectively handle several assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
