Job Summary


The Part-Time TRAMCON Continuing Education Instructor teaches manufactured construction courses with a prescribed curriculum to adults.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Prepares and distributes course outline/syllabi to students
  • Teaches lecture and laboratory sections that lead to the NCCER Core Certificate and MSSC Certified Production Technician (CPT) Certificate
  • Develops and follows NCCER and MSSC curriculum using specified materials and techniques
  • Maintains accurate attendance records
  • Works with Lab and Facilities Manager to coordinate instruction of students in different campuses
  • Develops teaching and learning strategies that optimize student performance
  • Participates in textbook and technology committees
  • Complies with department and College policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Minimum Requirements


  • Minimum of five years of experience working in construction and/or manufacturing
  • Certificate of OSHA 10-hour General Industry Training, to include Basic First Aid
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Prior experience teaching adult learners
  • Experience in one or more building trade and/or manufacturing
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools and milling equipment
  • Ability to operate manuals and safety procedures for all of the equipment and tools in the lab
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
