General Description: Reporting to the Associate Dean of Assessment & Learning Support, the Coordinator of Online Learning will lead efforts in SIT’s expansion of online learning through course and program development.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyze instructional design and technology needs in face-to-face, blended, and distance learning environments and lead the development of solutions to meet diverse educational needs

     

    Direct online course development in accordance to best practices in distance learning and evaluate online course design and delivery

     

    Provide pedagogical and technological support for faculty and professional staff in online and face-to-face environments

     

    Explore multimedia and other technologies into online course design

     

    Complete projects on time, on budget, and in accordance with specifications

     

    Collaborate with IT and LMS manager on the deployment of teaching and learning technologies

     

    Provide educational technology training for faculty teaching in distance learning modalities

     

    Prepare and present reports to faculty, staff, and administration

     

    Supervise, train, and evaluate support staff

     

    Assess the educational effectiveness of online learning

     

    Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Assessment and Learning Support

     

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • MA in Curriculum & Instruction, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Education, or related field

     

    4 Years related experience in higher education setting

     

    Extensive knowledge of educational and multimedia technologies

     

    Experience with online course development and delivery

     

    Knowledge of best practices in online learning pedagogy

     

    Experience in faculty development, training, workshop facilitation, and resource development

     

    Excellent project management, time management, and management skills

     

    Ability to produce high quality outcomes related to multiple initiatives simultaneously

     

    Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders

     

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Terminal degree in appropriate discipline

     

    Intercultural and/or international experience

     

    Experience with Quality Matters or comparable program

     

    Critical thinker and creative problem solver
